Roberta began her real estate career in 1958, working in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon her husband's military career retirement to Savannah, Georgia, she received her broker's license and began the operation of Jorishie Properties Inc, previously doing business as Bennett Realty and currently doing business as Robin Lance Realty in 1976.
Roberta has been an icon in the real estate business for many years and continues to take a role in the business with her daughter, Robin Lance. She has served as President of the Savanah Board of REALTORS®, was inducted into the Savannah Board of REALTORS® Konter Hall of Fame, and was awarded the REALTORS® Emeritus Award for 40 years of real estate agent service by the National Association of REALTORS®.
While being awarded numerous accolades throughout her career, her claim to fame in the industry is having two streets named after her because she sold so many new homes in a particular community: Roberta Circle and Bennett Street. Both are in Austell, Georgia. A third street was also named after her, Jorishie Drive (which is her maiden name). After years of no one being able to pronounce or spell it, that street name has since changed.
Roberta has resided in Richmond Hill with her husband Bob for 72 years. They have five children, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Roberta proclaims real estate to be the best business opportunity in the world because one is paid in direct proportion to the efforts one puts in.
